Patrick Adiarte’s career resists being reduced to a single role, even one as enduring as Ho-Jon. Long before syndication made M*A*S*H a fixture in living rooms, he was on Broadway in The King and I and Flower Drum Song, appearing in productions that shaped how Asian characters were seen on American stages and screens. Film roles, television guest spots, and musical performances linked his name to very different corners of popular culture, even if audiences did not always follow him from one medium to another.

Remembering him accurately means resisting the urge to inflate or invent. His legacy does not require dramatic rumors or sentimental myths; it rests in work that can still be watched, studied, and appreciated. For new viewers, credits and cast lists offer a map to discover him. For those who knew him only as a familiar face in a favorite series, revisiting his performances turns background into intention, and a “supporting” player into a lasting presence.
